Color In New Orleans

What comes to mind when you think of New Orleans? Bourbon Street? Fried catfish? Creole? The Mississippi River? Whatever you have heard, it's all true. New Orleans is exciting and inspiring in many, many ways. Picture classic European style architecture with a southern Las Vegas-esque vibe: this town is beautifully wild.

The French Quarter, bustling with tourists gazing up at the ornate buildings and heading down to ride the Natchez, provides a perfect opportunity to snap some beautiful imagery that may result in an accidental color palette. That was our focus. In between our tastes of Cajun spiced catfish and the famous benguetts (best when eaten warm), we were on a mission to find innovative color palettes residing within the layers of historic buildings.

Grab a drink (it's legal on the streets of New Orleans) and meander down to the French Market and you will find 6 blocks of shopping. Here you will find everything from your typical souvenirs, to handmade jewelry and beautifully woven baskets and hand bags. This is where we found more color palette inspiration than we could have dreamed of.

We hope that we have inspired you to take a look around you and find accidental color palettes of your own. They are everywhere you may just have to do a little deciphering.
