Paris Spring 2016 Couture Fashion Week has come to a close
so we thought we would bring you our favorite looks from our favorite shows!
Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments below!
Versace
Our favorite look was one of the opening tailored optic white looks with a pop of bright orange emphasizing and setting the asymmetrical tone that was seen throughout the show.

Schiaparelli
If you know anything about this iconic designer, you know the infamous “Lobster Dress” a dress that was designed for Wallis Simpson in the 1930’s considered scandalous and controversial for the time. When current Schiaperelli designer, Bertrand Guyon, debuted his take on the “Lobster Dress” we had a moment of pure excitement! The collection, inspired by founder Lisa Schiaparellis love for the food and table, also included vegetable root, flatware, and fine china prints. The classic Schaparelli whimsical silhouettes were offset with subtle provocative notes, that only some will catch.
See if you can catch them here.
Dior
This Fall 2016 collection was truly from the Dior house, a full collection that was devised from a team of young Dior designers that steped up to the plate after the abrupt resignation of former Creative Director Raf Simons. As a result, the collection has a more youthful look about it. Our favorite look suggested just that, a modern, youthful, yet delicate appeal. It will be interesting to see if the couture house will remain in the hands of these young designers or if an outsider will be appointed to lead once again. See the full collection here.
Chanel
The Chanel runway show, beautiful as always, took a play from the zen and organic play book and took place at the Grand Palais in a minimalist garden setting. They took this idea to the next level by incorporating woodchips as beading in some of the garments, including our favorite look picture above! Check out more here.
Elie Saab
The ever ethereal Elie Saab presented a collection inspired by what he says is an "English woman on a trip to India". A fresh approach was brought by the designer with the addition of metallic accessories and lace-up combat boots. Our pick is a great example of Saab stepping out of his comfort zone, all the while remaining true to his aesthetic. View the entire collection here.
Armani
Armani, always seen on the Hollywood red carpet is sure to do it again this year, and our prediction is our favorite look from the runway. This lavender slip dress, embellished with beaded scalloped tiers would look fabulous on any of our favorite Hollywood stars!

Valentino
Inspired by historical Italian romanticism, this collection screamed Valentino! Fabric treatments were the star on this runway with pleated, painted, and knotted velvet throughout. Our star pick was a beautiful green floor length evening gown with a sheer bodice carefully embellished with velvet brocade applique. See the beauty here.
Giambattista Valli
Valli is know for having an obsession with flowers and this collection suggested no difference. Valli stated that his inspiration came specifically from “Parc de Bagatelle, the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Palais-Royal, and the Jardin des Tuileries”. Our top pick was just the beginning for the volume that Valli is famous for bringing ( you probably remember Rhianna’s 2015 Grammy dress), the short, leggy dresses that walked the marority of the runway were concluded with statement making tulle gowns. See the drama here.
Viktor and Rolf
Okay. the Viktor and Rolf show is always one of our favorites. Each season the two inspire and intrigue us with their artistic creativity that they bring to fashion. This season was no different. Producing an all white collection, they focused on shape shifting shapes with clear cubism roots. Each piece (much like the work of Picasso) seriously makes you stop and look, really look.
If you only look at one runway show let it be this one.
